The CEMPLE Program #1 will look at the influence and the impact of using Communities of Practice in the design, development and integration of Mega-Projects. In particular, it will consider the way communities of practice can influence knowledge stewarding and innovation in the following domains:

• Governance and management
• Risk management
• Change management
• Integration management

Two critical elements of communities of practice will be initially emphasized on: communication and coordination. It will use key learnings from past and present Mega Projects in Europe.

The research project will commence in 2009 and will run to June 30th, 2010.
